1. Sadly, the Stone Roses lost their momentum in an unfortunate, protracted legal battle with their label, Silvertone Records, and never got the chance to build upon this amazing point. 's TURNS INTO STONE collects "Fools Gold," the extended mix of "Elephant Stone," and a handful of b-sides and EP tracks onto one convenient disc/5(19).

3. Turns into Stone is a compilation album by English rock band The Stone Roses, released in It consists of early singles and B-sides that did not feature on their self-titled debut album. The compilation reached number 32 on the UK album chart.

4. "Elephant Stone is the 7" version of the song, whilst still very good, is not a patch on the full length version - check out Turns Into Stone for Reni's brilliant drumming. "She Bangs The Drums" however, is a slightly better version than on the debut album (although it's quite hard to spot that it is different).

5. Thanks to Pete (below, from Canada) for his dead-on comparison of Turns to Stone and Complete Stone Roses. The very fact that 4 of the best Stone Roses songs are cut in half on the Complete Stone Roses, renders that CD almost worthless. The most awesome parts of the songs (arguably) are the parts they cut on The Complete Stone paymangbowestwebdobulocsiralarri.xyzinfos:
